I heard of the term 'Disaster Tourism' for the first time during a warning of Tsunami in Chennai a couple of years back. Half of Chennai was in Marina beach wanting to have a look at the probable huge tidal waves. It is strange but true that people venture out to see a disaster in the making. The 'tourists' included even women and children!!
Of late our Pseudo Secular politicians have been on a 'Tragedy Tourism'. Every day Rahul Gandhi, Digvijay Singh, Aravind Kejariwal, Sitaram Yechury and a few other torch bearers of this brigade pray to God (in the case of Yechury may be to Lenin and Stalin!) that there is at least one communal riot or a farmer suicide or a student death, so that they can charter a Plane, fly down, offer mock sympathy and indulge in some Modi bashing.
While the death of any person is sad, the recent suicide of the Scholar student Rohith Vemula, who took his own life, left a note holding none responsible, and who was punished by being evicted from the hostel (which is a routine affair in any college in the country for students who flout rules, but note that he was allowed to continue his studies) for violently attacking another student, and for being part of protests against the hanging of the terrorist Yakoub Memon, should not have been politicized at all. So what if he is a Dalit? Are they not supposed to abide by the rules? Or should they be allowed to do what they please and should not be questioned? And in any case, even he has not claimed that he is taking his life because of him being evicted from the hostel for his misdemeanor.
So why then are the prime idiots like Rahul Gandhi, Diggy Singh, Kejariwal and the Left jholawallahs along with the media up in arms, sensationalizing this issue?
I read somewhere that Ashok Vajpayee of the Award Vapasi infame returned his D Litt as a mark of protest. So now you know this is orchestrated and lies are being spread over and over again on another non issue.
My suggestion to the Government is to slap defamatory notices on everyone indulging in this, every single time they open their mouth like this and spread communal and caste based discord. Slap 10, 100, 1000 cases. Let them run from court to court for the rest of the life.
Freedom of Expression is desirable, but it comes with certain responsibilities. Our pseudo secular politicians, left liberal frauds and the crooked media have crossed all limits. It is time to show them their place.
