Mattrah - Oman by Night - A Photo Feature

Matrah is one of the oldest port in Oman, and is in Muscat. It used to be the commercial centre prior to discovery of oil. The place has an old world charm. I took some pictures on 10.11.10 late in the evening.

An illuminated Double Arch Greets you when you enter Matrah Harbour

We Drive through the Arch - An eerie feeling

A fort on the left of the Arch
Matrah Harbour Street is busy at 9 pm
A Passenger Liner berthed on the Dock
Same Liner but Close up
An Ancient Fort atop a rock overlooking the Harbour
People Enjoy a Stroll or a Quiet moment by the harbour.
